Oregon State Capitol Procession
Salem, OR - A procession brought 36,000 Soul Boxes through the Rotunda and deposited them inside a structure in the State Capitol lobby. These boxes (in bags) represented the number of people killed in the U.S. in 2018 by gunfire.

Portland, OR - The Gallery of Souls exhibit displayed 3,000 Soul Boxes at the community center, which was open to the public to fold boxes in order to reach 36,000 boxes goal for the State Capitol procession.

Inception of Soul Box Project
Portland, OR - The Soul Box Project was started by Portland artist Leslie Lee in October 2017 after the mass shooting in Las Vegas. The Soul Box Project is a visual that represents the number of victims killed and injured by gunfire in the U.S. during a specific timeframe.
