ART HEALS VIOLENCE

The St. Louis Arts Chamber of Commerce will host its second region-wide arts and social issues collaborative exhibition. The 2021 theme has been announced: Art Heals Violence. Soul Box Project will present an exhibition as part of this inclusive, interdisciplinary conversation about furthering social justice and healing through the arts. See the wonderful video they produced demonstrating how to fold a Soul Box.

October 16 - 17, 2021

The Soul Box Project will bring over 200,000 Soul Boxes to the National Mall in Washington, D.C. To begin the weekend exhibit, hundreds of volunteers will carry these Soul Boxes in a solemn procession, honoring the lives torn apart by gunfire.

This Loss We Carry: Portland Preview

Over 70,000 Soul Boxes represented the number of deaths and injuries from gunfire in just one year. A corridor of Boxes on display panels were flanked by bags of Boxes carried into the exhibit on Saturday morning.
